Easter Brunch in the D – and Detroit author launches new book!
Sorry this is late, everybody – my main pc was hijacked by something called Ransomware – from my research there is currently no way to recover files that were encrypted. We’ve got backups of many of our important files, but I know there are going to be some that we won’t get back. So, this may go without saying, but whether you have a business or homework, or whatever – BACK UP YOUR FILES!!!! REGULARLY! Make 2 copies at least!
Don’t be connected to the internet all the time!!! (Make sure your pc/laptop/whatever is not set to automatically connect.)
And make sure you have installed and up-to-date anti-virus and anti-malware software. New viruses are coming out all the time.
Okay, that’s my public service announcement for the week! 😉
A couple of special things I’d like to mention: Detroit author Monica Sholar has written a new book – 25 stories of empowerment from Michigan women. What a great way to represent, right? I have not read the whole book yet, as I just received an early digital copy this past Friday, but Ms. Sholar’s official book launch for “Please Pardon my Dust” is on April 3, as part of the All Things Detroit expo at Eastern Market. You can read more about her and get more info about the All Things Detroit event HERE.
Tigers season is right around the corner, you can get tickets HERE!
Easter Brunch in the D
At the time of this post, this is what I was able to gather for Easter Brunch specials in the downtown and Midtown Detroit area. Your favorite restaurant will probably have a special brunch, but here are a few highlights – please call ahead as many places book fast (if they haven’t already!):
The Whitney – they even have a Dessert Parlor now that I’d love to check out!
It looks like Easter brunch is sold out, but they also have Tea with the Easter Bunny on Saturday.
The Majestic – they have a brunch every Sunday, not sure if they are doing anything different from what they offer normally, but here is their menu.
Other Easter brunches in the area can be found HERE.
Where in the D to watch Wings games (aka Pub Club):
